It's bloody unbelievable. People don't seem to give a shit that bertie's as dodgy as fuck, a liar and a belligerent schoolboy. They don't seem to mind our health service is a disgrace, that our schools are bursting, our infrastructure a shambles, and our whole economy is based on construction and debt. It's totally unreal.
people are just not willing to give up the little patch no matter how small. The majority of people are greedy that's the reality.

yes as an electorate we treat the government and what they do with a dirisory "sure he didn't take much money" turn everything into a laugh attitude. the government know this and the media knows it and its all made out to be something non serious and something to be laughed at. "ah sure what can i do about it?" etc.
my case in point - pat rabbitte admitting to not wanting to criticise bertie because his (berties) popularity went up the last time he did it and his own went down. as trevor sargeant said on the debate recently - it diesnt matter who is in government as long as what needs to be done, gets bloody well done !
ff will roar back in and might even get an overall majority - we love a good scandal, a good villian and we utterly love complaining about the state of everything - we are, however, uncapable of changing our outlook because the prevailing attidude is "they're all the same" - that doesn't make it alright to still vote for the f*ckers though.
Please, please say it won't happen. As long as the pee dees aren't the ones steering the FF tramp steamer I won't be too miserable.
FMC, I just don't have the words to describe my disbelief!!! We are a shower of eejits if FF get anywhere near power again this time - although, I couldn't believe it last time either....
Paddy, you're right. It's all local politics. People vote for the local fella because he'd be more likely to "get" them something - as if they'd get it if they weren't entitled to it. Our local TD sent a catalogue to each house detailing all of his deliveries!! All of the grants given in other words - he had FA to do with them!!
